"My heart aches when I can’t create. What shall I do? What shall I do?"
Left Me Overs is a mixed media art/perzine about my left hand, the desire to make things, and making do in general. In early summer 2013, I experienced an injury that drastically affected my ability to use my right hand/arm. This zine was the result of 3 months of on-and-off work as I tried whatever I could to keep up a decent creative output.
Nearly all of the writing and artwork was created using my non-dominant hand (with a few exceptions such as cut-paper letters for safety reasons).
This book is hand-assembled and hand bound using a slot and tab binding format. No glue, tape, staples or thread is used as the book’s pages hold itself together.
7” x 8.5”
10 pages plus outside cover artwork
Full colour printing on 70lb Cougar text
Still in the midst of assembling all the copies, but Left Me Overs will be available Oct 20 at Canzine, and Oct 25 at Doujinka Festival. And on my Storenvy, once I figure out the product/shipping details!
